WHAT THE F ARE YOU PUTTING ON YOUR PITS!

ARM PITS

ARM PITS

All jokes aside, what the F are you putting on your pits…

This is SO SCARY.

We ALL put deodorant on every single day because who wants to smell like B.O.

But what we don’t realize is the shit we are putting on our bodies is SO harmful.

I want you to do something…

I want you to go and grab your bottle of deodorant. I’m willing to bet money that at least ONE of these ingredients is in your deodorant.

Aluminum – linked to breast cancer in women, prostate cancer and an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

Parabens – disrupt our hormonal balance, which can lead to things like early puberty in children and an increased risk of hormonal cancers. Linked to birth defects and organ toxicity.

Propylene Glycol – can cause damage to the central nervous system, liver and heart.

Phthalates – linked to a higher risk of birth defects. May disrupt hormone receptors, increase likelihood of cell mutation.

Triclosan – classified as a pesticide by the FDA. Classified as a probable carcinogen by the EPA.

SCARY AF RIGHT?

Our skin is our biggest organ!

We constantly have health issues and hear of other people’s health issues BUT we almost NEVER look at what we are putting on our bodies as a problem.

ALWAYS check the ingredients, especially on beauty products!!!

So, what do you use?!

Kaia Naturals – Takesumi Detox Deodorant

What is it? Detoxifies the skin while naturally absorbing odor with this first-ever bamboo charcoal deodorant. Crafted from a blend of Certified Vegan ingredients, this aluminum-free formula uses a time-honored Japanese tradition to promote dryness while deodorizing.

The main thing when finding a safe deodorant is using a deodorant that consist of essential oils and all natural ingredients. Baking soda and coconut oil are also amazing ingredients you want to look for in a safe deodorant!

I have strong hopes that the beauty industry will change when it comes to putting safe ingredients in our products. I know we are all not perfect, I certainly am not. But, it’s important to start small and start somewhere.

xx

Great post! Hoping that if enough of us speak up it will pressure the beauty industry to choose ingredients more carefully. Other countries are so far ahead of us…
