So, it’s 2016.

You know what that means- new year, new me, new bod. Sound familiar? Join the club.

Well, I’ve been on my workout game lately but I still have that bloated feeling. And I HATE being bloated. Seriously, it’s the worst thing ever.

So after reading different tips on fighting bloat- I’ve come up with a super easy & tasty detox drink.

Its spicy with a little tang. Think of it as a skinny bloody mary. Kinda.

I drink mine first thing in the morning (on an empty stomach). Soooo delish & it is a perfect way to start off your day.

You can find all of the ingredients at your local grocery or whole foods store.

SIDE NOTE: Recently I’ve been completely obsessed with Omega-3. Sounds weird, right? Well the benefits are actually amazing.

Basically, Omega-3 is a fatty acid. Omega-3 is found in certain fish, nuts, & seeds. It is SO GOOD for your body. I could go on and on about the amazing benefits but i’ll only name a few.

According to Green Med Info: There is strong evidence that Omega-3 has a beneficial effect in bipolar disorder and depression. It is also proven to have beneficial effects in rheumatoid arthritis and among some asthmatics. Omega-3 is also known to reduce the symptoms of ADHD. Last but not least, this fatty acid is sooo good for your cardiovascular system!

I found my Omega-3 Supplement in liquid form at my local whole foods store. I LOVE adding a little bit to my shakes or detox drinks! Taste just like lemons.

1 table-spoon of organic turmeric powder
1/2 Grapefruit
1/2 Lemon
Tons of mint
1 tablespoon Omega-3

+ Directions: I put a bunch of filtered water & ice into a medium size pitcher. I put all of my ingredients into the pitcher and keep in the fridge to last me throughout the day & the next few mornings. Pour your raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar into the pitcher. Add your cayenne powder and turmeric powder. Then squeeze half of a grapefruit and lemon. Add your omega-3! And of course, lots and lots of mint. Yum!

I’ve heard about a similar drink from a few different places, but think I’m going to like this recipe better. It’s sweeter and I also hate bloating.
