the raspberry oat
even though choc chip pancakes and crispy bacon are my utter weaknesses, I’m absolutely horrible when it comes to eating breakfast. usually i’m in some giant rush and only have enough time to grab a quick meal (if i’m lucky). since i was a little girl smoothies have always been a fav of mine.whether its strawberry, blueberry, banana or mango (the list goes on) they are all delicious!
while throwing concoctions into my nutribullet one day, i came across a life changing, mouth watering, super healthy fruit smoothie! i call it, the raspberry oat.
the raspberry oat takes about 5 min to throw together- not to mention it’s healthy and will give you the energy you need to make it through your fabulous day!
heres what you need:
1 cup frozen/fresh red raspberries (i use frozen so my smoothies are extra cold)
½ cup greek vanilla yogurt
¾ cup coconut water (coconut water is great for you not to mention it’s delish but you can substitute with milk)
½ cup uncooked oatmeal
1 teaspoon honey
optional: 1/2 cup of granola (my fav)
combine all of the yummy ingredients into your bullet or blender & blend for about 2 min or until it is thick/thin enough for your liking.
pour into a cute cup or even tumbler if you are on the go & add a cute straw!
smoothies are a wonderful and simple way to make sure you are getting plenty of fruits and veggies. its quick and easy! Now you busy bees should have no excuse for missing the most important meal of the day!
