5 TIPS FOR FRIZZ FREE HAIR

I’m the queen of frizz (or at least I was) until I found out a few tips that work for my hair. As much as I love the warm summer months, my hair does not. But, there are many ways to manage your frizzy hair and I’m here to tell you.

Here are my tips to battling frizz-free hair.

1. SLEEP ON A SILK PILLOW CASE

Okay, you guys have seen my recent Instagram sharing my love for a nice silk pillow case. Sleeping on a silk pillow case can allow you to achieve results literally overnight. Cotton pillow cases are known for sucking the moisture out of your hair which will cause frizziness the next day. Plus, what princess doesn’t like a pink silk pillow case?

2. FIND THE RIGHT SERUM

Y’all this is HUGE. Finding the right serum will legit make or break the frizz. Serums leave your hair completely hydrated and they also grab slick back those flyaways that tend to jump out when it’s frizzy AF outside. My all-time favorite serum is from Smooth N Shine. I have naturally curly hair so anytime there’s a 1% chance of precipitation my hair goes absolutely cray but Smooth N’ Shine does the trick EVERY time.

3. AVOID SHAMPOO EVERY DAY & USE A CO-WASH

Shampooing your hair every day will strip all of its natural oils AKA will make your hair extremely frizzy and VERY dry. I wash my hair every 3-4 days to keep it hydrated. When I do wash, I love to use a co-wash! A co-wash is perfect for getting your hair clean minus the stripping oils part. I also love a co-wash because it has really amazing natural oils that will leave your hair hydrated, bouncy and frizz-free.

4. A SPRAY ON POLISHER

I had never heard of a spray on polisher until I found Smooth N Shine and boy, was it life changing! THIS IS THE KEY TO FIGHTING HUMIDITY! This spray on polisher is filled with silk proteins that protect your hair from humidity. It completely conditions your hair and eliminates any humidity.

5. USE A MICROFIBER TOWEL

Your towel can be your worst enemy, trust me. Using a microfiber towel is absolutely life changing when it comes to battling frizz. Just like your cotton pillow, a regular towel can soak up all the moisture and leave your hair dull and dry. A microfiber towel absorbs water without causing any friction which prevents frizz.
